Default WTF random numbers do they use for insurance!!

Been playing around on the compare sites to get a renewal.

Just messed around a bit to see if anything changes.

Having a second car with 5 years NCB on, INCREASES my premium!!!

Putting a £100000 fault claim on decreases it by £30.

What the fuck!!!!!

Piss take. Said it a few times now but my st was £630 a year. Mondeo is £1200. Hate insurance firms. Manipulate numbers to how they want.

Legalised robbery.

Be careful not to put your exact details in when pissing about on comparison sites as the Insurance companies monitor what you quote for. If you quote with a claim, then without a claim then take insurance without a claim, the insurance company may charge extra later or cancel the policy after reviewing the quotes and checking with other insurers

This.

Cunt robbing bastards now ASSUME you've made a claim because you've done a quote based on one.

Robbing, thieving, stealing, money grabbing fuckwit cunts.

When I came back from Cuba last month I came back to a letter saying my insurance had been cancelled very confused I called them.

They claimed that the direct debit hadn't been paid ( later found to be a banking error ) and that they tried to contact me from the 3rd ( I went away on the 9th for two weeks ) I said that they hadn't as I obviously wouldn't leave the car not insured especially while out of the country, cut a long story short they wouldn't reinstate the policy but instead could offer me a new policy which was..... £63 cheaper a month.

I casually said to the lady on the phone, you can see it's a genuine reason that you haven't been able to get hold of me and the missed payment but 1, you still are going to cancel the policy and 2, you are going to offer me the same thing but £63 cheaper a month, I've never been able to work car insurance out but this one was a peach.

Yes I know some of you don't even pay £63 a month never mind have it that cheaper a month

I had similar with Adrian flux. Banking error, payment missed. They didn't contact me yet claimed to of. I got pulled over and received a ban for my troubles

I was fucking fuming! They didn't give a shit either and said I had to pay the premium in full as I missed the first payment.

Will, how does the computers spit out such blatent bullshit??

or do they really have contrived statistics saying that youre more of a risk if you have lots of NCB on a second car?? which goes against any logic.

Also cheaper insurance after a 100k crash??? defys all logic again.

oh and another one. Putting 0NCB is cheaper than "o NCB in last 2 years" again wheres the logic in saying someone with no experience is safer than someone who has plenty of experience albeit not in last 2 years or on a company car in last 2 years?? defies logic.

Got to agree with strange insurance prices over the years, one year my renewal was double the previous years premium, although nothing changed, same car no accidents etc.

Then again, last few years of insuring my car the renewal price was by far the cheapest quote, tried comparison sites and rang specialist insurers, so for the first time ever, my current insurer showed some loyalty and wanted to keep me as a customer!

my insurance has yoyo'd a fair bit over the past few years, going up, then down, then up and then, when i called to see if they could do something cheaper, they called back saying they had found a deal £100 cheaper FROM THE SAME COMPANY THAT HAD QUOTED ME FOR THE RENEWALL!!!!!!!!!

and this year it's almost £300 cheaper than last year

different insurance company though

when i had my sti import earlier in the year rang my insurance up and had to start a new policy, anyhow worked out cheaper with it in my name but with r lass as a named driver. so i asked r lass them 3 points off for a sp30 "yeah love" so put it down both clean licence etc pay depsoit few days later recieved paper work and they wanted copy of our driving licences no problem.

Digs kellys out to find the 3 points was'nt off untill may 2 month later slack bugger

so i rang them explained simple mistake knowing my insurance would go up but not thinking 500 quid.

I said you are joking aint you no Mr Evans your policy is now 1200and odd pound so I said f**k that im in my 14 days cooling off period ill cancel my policy take off what ive been covered only to be told will I please hold.

Ten mins later she comes back on and said right we will keep the insurance the same price but you will have to take kelly off the policy

so me alone was £900+
me and kelly £700 and summat
me kelly and 3 points 1200 +
for me to get it 700 and something by myself because i was going to cancel just without kelly on it bloody stupid

I said if id of agreed you would have gladly taken my money twats lot of them runs out in jan wont be using them

LOL'ing here. Had a letter a few weeks ago for renewal, rang and complained as it's only £42 cheaper than last year. Offered me another £45 off so £87 cheaper than last year.

Still wasn't happy, rang around the usual, until got to Liverpool Victoria via Chris Knott. £450 F/C unlimited mileage bla bla, so, impressed with that so decide to try my current one to see what they say, wouldn't go any lower than £500. Online comparisons were 6-700. Even going direct to LV tripled it online.

Think online isn't good as it's based on a series of assumptions that bumps price up so best bet is to ring the best 3 online and I'm sure you get cheaper then.
