Default Modified mini first car insurance?

Hi all, would I get insurance at 17 on a limited mile policy on my mini do you reckon?

I would only want 3-4k max on mileage
Standard engine, box etc (1275)
Metro turbo brakes
Adjustable bottom arms, hilos etc
Rollcage
Milltek exhaust
Wide 13x7 superlights
Fresh restoration, everything refurbished and I would value it at 4-5K
Expensive fresh paint job etc

Just looking for opinions, as I want to know if it is possible I could use it when I pass my test in a couple of years, and if it is realistic as a first car. If it isnt, maybe I should just store it up after the resto, and wait a few years...

Thanls for any answers in advance

Chances are that you wouldn't get classic car insurance due to your age. Mods will go against you as well, try the usal suspects and have a chat with Dave Hollis at the www.britishminiclub.co.uk. He's a great source of info for all things mini related.
Even have a look at the comparison sites, you never know what they'll be doing month to month. Good luck with it though and don't elt em put you off!

Roll cage is the big problem on your list, if its just bolted in remove it.
