Now there telling me 4 months down the line that i am only 3rd party on them an anything over 25 years old etc. they have listened too the recording of the phone calls am have admitted that they mis sold me insurance an will refund me any money owed which is useless really as i pay monthly so will only get half a month back as its pro rater or something! basically they said there mistake but none of there companys cover cosworths fully comp so they sold me a policy they cant ever offer any advise on what too do is greatfully received

who was this with?
i'm with quotemetoday who put me onto tradewise, they also do not cover cosworths for anything other than third party, same as anything over 25 years of age.
they have been tightening their belts recently, i have yet to enquire if an m3 is possible.
can you keep this thread updated if you find any info from other companies?

Check the FSA website for advise. Maybe a case of submitting a complaint, assuming you have paperwork that clearly confirms everything.

If you want to make a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman you have to make a complaint directly to the company first.

I would be going for a refund on the full period you have been paying them, simple fact is you have been paying them for something you have not been receiving, if they say they have, ask them if they would have paid you out if you had had a bump in a cosworth? They wouldn't and so they have not been providing the cover promised by them.

As they have sold you something which is not fit for the purpose you bought it for then I would think you entitled to a full refund, If you get no joy then I would contact the insurance ombudsman for advice who regulate all insurance companies.

Hope it helps, Lee.
