Peter D. James Ltd

www.peterjamesinsurance.co.uk.

They will cover the modded ones on classic or agreed value policies and the later one as a "normal" car.

If they have any problem with the Galaxy for any reason, try

www.hertsinsurance.com.

Alternatively, try pm'ing Tony@Greenlight off here.

i have the same problem, have 3 policies running two for cars and one for my work van, the two cars where with HIC ( herts) the best that they could do was mirror the no claims for the two policies, so had discount for the second motor but the down side is you only get 1 years no claims bonus,no matter how many poilcies you have

I have a part time trade policy, but this wouldnt be of much use to you as they only insure cossies 3rd party only, an unwanted affect of the 1980`s/90`s car theft problem i`m afraid! They cover all modified, but again only at third party. It`s been really handy to me as i do genuinely do a lot of trading, i`ve got a scooby, bm cabby, transit and various other shitters on it, but i`m either going to ramp up to full blown traders policy if i get the bodyshop, or i`ll knock it on the head, classic insure the cossie and just get policies for the rest. I have heard brentacre insurance (based in swansea) can be quite good for this sort of thing, my mate currently has a galaxy and he has promised to mirror his no claims on his heavily modified MR2, i think there are a few limited mileage things on the policy, but that should`nt prove too much of a problem in your case.

As long as you don't do anything "outside the box" like fitting a YB into a Cortina then they are okay with most mods. Both of mine which are on classic policies are modified and they have no issues @ all.
