The point is the car is NOT owned by his step dad but by him!!!!! He is deliberately decieving the insurance company.

Sure to the outsider it may appear fine and on a cursory inspection it would be hard to prove, BUT i bet if the insurance company or police chose to investigate it fully they could prove the boy owns the car not his dad. Wouldnt be that hard to go on financial records, especially as hes spent a bit of money on modding it. Not to mention entrapment my getting a undercover female to chat him up and im sure hes not going to say to a fit female "its my dads"

I wonder if said barry boy is clever enough to have thrown away reciepts etc for the original purchase?? oh and is his step dad prepared to lie on oath to help him?

The guys taking the piss and its people like him costing us people who do insurance properly money on out premiums.

The fact the police will impound his car says it all

Financial records? Could have bought it for his dad as a present, and be doing it up to his dads tastes.
I know that's all bollocks, but prove to the contrary.

It's not what you know, it's what you can prove...

As for all that other bollocks, I would like to think what with knife crime etc as it is, the police would have better things to do than chase up someone who is driving (technically) legally, albeit in an "interesting" way.

Same scenario as my boss. He was up in the Highlands and a Transit came round the corner and twatted him.

Wrote off his 55 reg Terrano. Went to chek his docs and noticed it's 1st MOT was due 3mths previous.

Insurance just said if it was deemed by the asessor to be in a roadworthy condition then he would be deducted Ł50 to cover the MOT from his settlement.

He was with Direct Line but Insurance payout was from the Transits INsurance as he was liable. Would this have made the difference?

Back on topic - the boy is a complete tool for thinking he's cool doing this to inure a fucking Tigra!!

it depends on said police officer at the time....

The reason they may impound it is if he does not have his insurance docs on him.

it does not say it all it says essex police are thick w**kers.

Its not that easy to prove that the car is his and not his dads especially if they live t the same address

as i say its been doe for years. i know at least 5 people that do it. i wouldnt because it does not cover fully comp if some uninsured p**ck drives into you

But hes still driving illegally and people like him WILL contribute to YOUR and MY insurance premiums going up over the years (ignoring discounts people recieve that may make insurance appear to decrease).

Do you want to pay more insurance just so a barry boy can drive his chavved tigra??? I dont!!!

Exactly!!

With MoT as you say its about roadworthyness. and you can have a car with no MoT thats road worthy. Just it dont have the paper to prove it.

Incorrect. The reason they impound it is that he does not feature as a named driver on the MID and he cant prove otherwise, either with docs or with the police ringing his insurance company to check his policy on driving others cars. Not having docs alone wont get a car seized.

They may also sieze the car if they dont reasonably beleive he has permission to drive it, as hes not the registered keeper

Does his dad even know he does this and does his dad support him with this???

I imagine hed look a right cunt if the FEDs phoned his dad at roadside and he went "what tigra??? thats my sons"

Investigators will watch the property to gather intel. They already do it regularly for bogus insurance claims, benefits cheats etc so its only a matter of time before its done for fraudulent insurance policys as a matter of course rather than just for specific cases. Remember with an insurance company they will make the onus on him to disprove the evidence otherwise they will just cancel his insurance and make it harder for him to get insured in future full stop!!

Think he could be saving a couple of grand in insurance premiums. That should buy a weeks investigation with ease, not to mention the fact the insurance company will also save by binning him as a customer as they may have to cough up for his crashes.

So theres one reason right there not to do it.

Not to mention the fact that the police often qoute in programs and statistics that there is strong links between uninsured/fraudulantly insured drivers and other crimes. So stopping them driving helps reduce thier freedom to commit other crimes.

Are ALL your 5 friends doing this with thier dads in on the act and willing to lie in court to back them up if it goes wrong???????

The kids will get in trouble if thier dads wont lie for them as fraud is then proven not to mention DVLA wont be chuffed on registration issues and may give the a Ł60 fixed penalty wonder

Because hes committing a crime and its your moral obligation as a citizen of this country to report it if safe to do so. Its not like hes a gangsta who will "cap yo ass" so you cant use fear of retribution in the community as a reason to keep hush.

Why do you keep posting a picture of yourself up????

The registered keeper is not always the legal owner. For example when they were looking at confiscating cars if you were caught exceeding 120mph my missus and I both signed papers to the effect of that although the cars were registered to us the cars were the legal property of each other. By doing this if I got busted for excess speed the courts couldn't take the car off me as I had signed and witnessed papers saying the vehicle was the legal property of my missus.

Fear of retribution only accounts for a bit of it. i suspect the rest is a lack of moral fibre or people not wanting family/friend arguements.

So if your mother was raped by someone and your dad murdered yet the witness's refused to "grass" would you be happy with no justice????? Youd be angry as fuck i bet.

All the negative attitude around grassing people for serious crime does is increase the problem and help the criminals further the cycle of crime because they "know" people wont report them. Often in communities just the threat of violence is enough to prevent grassing and in some areas its so bad that threats are not needed as its so ingrained in the local culture that "nobody talks".

Mk1escoz4x4, quit with the "hard man" attitude I think you have a serious obsession with that bloke you keep posting pictures of. We DONT fancy him even if you DO want to bum him

he is not commiting a crime ffs what he is doing is perfectly legal...

If he has his insurance docs on him saying he is insured to drive any other car and his second name is obviosly the same as his dads i guarentee 90% of police officers will have to let him go...

He will get the car back in the morning anyway because

HE IS NOT BREAKING THE LAW.

its the 10% nob end police officers that probably just dont like him that will take his car because they think they are special and its within thier power.

I had nearly the same thing with my skyline and my trade policy. I didnt have the policy on me and no ID. my history came up on the computer and the C**T took the car.

I had it back by 10 in the morning....

the country isnt shit because of a 50 year old insurance loophole....

The problems run far deeper than that.

The main ones in number 10

What drugs are you on?? I think you find it was one thread that you wernt even on this site then

You will find that anyone who has been operational in the military IS technically a trained killer. Although we are not machines, we are required to use judgement and intelligence, something you clearly lack.

When you actually know something about training costs for various different training courses in the military feel free to comment. Until then I suggest you stick to being a dickhead as you clearly have plenty of knowledge in that area.

Ive never lived in a barrel
sailor on a Navy ship had been out to sea for weeks, and was beginning to go through sex withdrawals. Fed up with the lack of sex, he asked one of his shipmates what he did when the pressure was too much to take.

"Well, there's a barrel with a hole in it near the mop storage. When it gets to be too much for us, we use that."

So the sailor went over to the barrel and decided to give it a go. Finding it was better than he'd expected, he began using it regularly, and his problems seemed to vanish.

After a couple of weeks, his commanding officer began to take notice, and said, "You seem to be a lot more relaxed. What's your secret?"

The sailor, embarrassed to give a straight answer, simply said he'd been getting better rest.

"Well good, sailor. You're going to need it," replied the officer. "Today's your turn in the barrel."
