But hes still driving illegally and people like him WILL contribute to YOUR and MY insurance premiums going up over the years (ignoring discounts people recieve that may make insurance appear to decrease).

Do you want to pay more insurance just so a barry boy can drive his chavved tigra??? I dont!!!

Exactly!!

With MoT as you say its about roadworthyness. and you can have a car with no MoT thats road worthy. Just it dont have the paper to prove it.

Incorrect. The reason they impound it is that he does not feature as a named driver on the MID and he cant prove otherwise, either with docs or with the police ringing his insurance company to check his policy on driving others cars. Not having docs alone wont get a car seized.

They may also sieze the car if they dont reasonably beleive he has permission to drive it, as hes not the registered keeper

Does his dad even know he does this and does his dad support him with this???

I imagine hed look a right cunt if the FEDs phoned his dad at roadside and he went "what tigra??? thats my sons"

Investigators will watch the property to gather intel. They already do it regularly for bogus insurance claims, benefits cheats etc so its only a matter of time before its done for fraudulent insurance policys as a matter of course rather than just for specific cases. Remember with an insurance company they will make the onus on him to disprove the evidence otherwise they will just cancel his insurance and make it harder for him to get insured in future full stop!!

Think he could be saving a couple of grand in insurance premiums. That should buy a weeks investigation with ease, not to mention the fact the insurance company will also save by binning him as a customer as they may have to cough up for his crashes.

So theres one reason right there not to do it.

Not to mention the fact that the police often qoute in programs and statistics that there is strong links between uninsured/fraudulantly insured drivers and other crimes. So stopping them driving helps reduce thier freedom to commit other crimes.

Are ALL your 5 friends doing this with thier dads in on the act and willing to lie in court to back them up if it goes wrong???????

The kids will get in trouble if thier dads wont lie for them as fraud is then proven not to mention DVLA wont be chuffed on registration issues and may give the a £60 fixed penalty wonder
