Default Greenlight

Just sorted out my insurance today and greenlight said that they couldnt give me an agreed valuation on my car that i wanted??
Aswell i had to pay out my full years insurance all at once rather than monthly direct debit??
I did get a reasonable quote but they also took away the track cover that i originally had when i first applied. And then wanted and extra £400 to have that added on again
I probably wouldnt of gone with them if i had time to ring around but as it wasnt a bad price i just done it.
Next year i think ill ring around and find a better deal as i didnt realy get everything i was expecting.
Just hope i dont crash as ill shit out big time without my agreed valuation

Do greenlight not have a 14 day refund policy?
If your not happy i would insurers, if you do have a bump and have to claim, you will wish you had sorted it out properly.

I dont get it mate...

Thats like walking into Currys and asking for a colour tv - them offering you a black and white and because you're there you buy it anyways despite it not being what you want.

I use greenlight, have for years - they give me what I want at a price I am happy to pay... if I ring up one year and they say they cant do what I want- I'll go elsewhere.. surely thats how it works???

just pay it on a 0% credit card, far cheaper than the extortionate finance at 40% odd they normally offer anyway! (not just greenlight, most pay monthly insurance!)

Hi Turbo-Beal,

Just seen this and would be happy to look into it for you.

Each Underwriter we deal with has slightly differing benefits - we do have underwriters that offer agreed value, track cover and finance plans.

It seems that the most competitive underwriter for your circumstances would have been the one offered and we usually check to see as to whether features like track driving will be required, which is probably why this was highlighted to you.

If it's within 14 days we can cancel upon cooling off with a nominal charge being applied by the Underwriter that you are being covered by.

Prior to doing this I can review your calls/discussions and application then check the other available specialist Underwriters to see as to whether they could offer trackday cover, agreed value or instalments.

We would usually offer you options to decide at the time, but they may be slightly more premium wise.

Kind regards

Tony

Tony, is it possible to do a multi-car policy? I have two highly modded cossies and need to insure them, is there any way to get them on one policy as two seperate ones will work out to be very expensive

The quote I got for my Escort cossie was £797 fully comp, for an agreed value of 18k with like for like mod replacement etc. Adrian flux were a bit cheaper, but could not provide the same level of cover regarding like for like mods, and IMHO the customer service and knowledge of modified cars was nowhere near as good as Greenlight.
