Mobile phone charge time first time?
Does anyone know how long you have to charge a new phone (nokia n70) for these days? Is it still about 12 hours? My sister said one shop told her to use her phone straight away until its dead then give it a long charge.
Anyone?
Thanks
David

It should come tomorrow. My phone I have now never said how long to charge it.
I heard (almost 10 years ago lol) that it would mess up the battery if you use it straight away.
Cheers then!

Nah dont think it will ruin the battery, all i did with my new phones in the last year is just get it out of the box and turn it on and use it until its dead and then give it a full charge, thats what ive always done and had no problems.
As i said if its brandnew just look in the instructions and it will say everything you need to know about charging

Balls!!
Its not even possible for a phone to stay charging for 16hrs, it would be fully charged in 4-6 hours depending on how low it was to start with, so it would be sat there flashing "fully charged" for the last 6 hours or so, abit pointless i feel

Hmmm,
Not sure now. Although my sis who told me to use it straight away did the same to hers and she's having problems with battery life now and shes only had it a few months.
I'll see what the magic instructions say when I get it

As above,it will say what Nokia recommend in the instructions, fook what the mobile operating company says if its different!!!!!!
My new D600's instructions said 'don't use it till fully charged, charge it till battery gauge reads full',which only took a couple of hours
