Default The plastic ring inside wheels

Just bought some second hand alloys, they are the correct offset and pcd but the plastic insert in the middle is not the correct size, is this plastic ring important or is it just there to align the wheels when fitting them

Will it be ok to fit the wheels without any ring fitted?

The spigot is there to locate the wheels, but realstically tapered bolts do that anyway, so you should be fine wihtout them, be better if you could find the right size spigot instead though.

The spigot ring is there to locate wheel central on hub bolts dont always do this. Some tyre centres will not even balance a wheel with no spigot rings as it is a waste of time if wheel not put on car central. There needed for a reason.

All wheels need to be located properly as the bolts on their own will come loose, fracture and brake. How ever the rims you have are 57.1 mm centre bore, which will require no rings on an audi, as they are 57.1 mm already, and hence are a direct fit. Wheel bolts/ nuts are designed to pull the wheel to the hub, not to support the weight of the car. Shame on you Chip
