Default headgasket

FRST headgasket,how much does it cost to have a blown headgasket repaired?also wot sort of damage does it usually cause?

might be swapping my 3i for one so need to know asap!

depends how long its been run for with the head gasket blown, could have warped the head badly

TBH its not a hard job to do yourself and would prob cost about £50 to do, a lot more at a garage

im not sure how long its been ran for,wots a multi layer headgasket??should i use one?wot would i have to do if the head is warped?

head can be skimmed for about £30, forgot to add that to the total sorry

you won't need anything more than a standard Ford h/gasket

nice one wes should i be looking for anything else when i go to have a look at it?wot would i have to do if i DIY it?

bit more than 50 quid to do yourself:-
head skim
oil and filter
antifreeze and new thermostat(good practice)
new head bolts
head gasket kit
new cam belt (unless very recently replaced) good practice to replace.

quite a simple job on the cvh though.
