Default How does Emule/Edonkey work?

It just keeps trying to connect to different servers and fails every time, then goes to the next.

Whats the crack?

I had it, and its shit

Only ones i find any use are Bearshare, BitComet, and now n again KazaaLiteK++.

Limewire never had anything I wanted on there so binned it off.

Was hoping these ones might have different stuff...

Ah, Edonkey is dead, Emule lives on apparently..........

"we were able to negotiate an out-of-court agreement with Firstway Medien GmbH, which avoids an long and expensive lawsuit."

can anyone help me with emule please ???

it was working perfectly then i installed a linksys hr200 wireless router, the pc is still wired tho from the router

since then emule says i have a low id and it has trouble connecting to hubs etc

how do i raise my id again ???

i also use azeraues (sp) and i never really seem to get high speeds, normally about 6kb per sec and im on ntl 2 meg,

as a comparison itunes downloads at 250kb per sec,

is there any way i can get the speed up a bit ?

matt

to get a high id you need to allow a port (cant remember which number it is) to have access to your pc your running emule on

Theres a pretty decent guide in the emule help file iirc, cos a lot of people seem to have this problem. It used to happen to me, but I sorted out the port forwarding and its been fine ever since
