i use an hp tc1100:

http://www.hp.no/hpinfo/presse/bilde..._pc_tc1100.jpg

it's light, the pen's v. easy to get on with, its got all the wireless bits and bobs etc. etc. the keyboard is detachable and the dock looks very stylish

overall its a very good machine

we do have a lot of problems with the system board failing, but they come with 3yr warranty, so it doesnt cost anytihng to get it fixed. on average we have 1 a month fail (from a stock of about 400?)

the spec is a bit dissapointingtho, theyre only 1.0 Ghz machines so they can be a bit slow at times.

perfectly adequate for work purposes tho, and with 1GB memory they cope quite well

we get about 4hrs from the tc1100 but its a tiny battery.

anything centrino should get fairly good battery life.

thrush,

you can use the on-screen keyboard (press the pen on the letters) or it does handwriting recognition/voice recognition etc.

but mostly...

it has a detachable fold out keyboard:
