I love the first one where he chases the toe cutter at the end and catches him up the sound of that v8 interceptor roaring along was just pure evil

best part of the film is when Max pulls the switch on the gear lever to engage the clutch on the supercharger and that baby spins up

The car in the film ran the blower off the water pump and the carb was under the blowers housing so it wasn't really supercharged 
However a chap called Mark Scarselli, who I think is in Newyork, has built a real working replica.
The film car is now in the Car of Stars Museum in the lake district.

Yeah, they rock.
Pity Ford don't import the new ones.
The 4 litre turbo typhoon and the V8 GT would just kick everything, you can forget your crappy monaros...
