Default Big Turbo Escort Cossie cooling system

Hi folks, I've been playing around with the cooling system on the Cossie, fitting new standard header tank and Roose silicon hoses, now when I came to fill the water back up again it's not draining down from the header tank. I did the same thing with my small turbo car and had no problems. Anyone got any ideas? All I could think of was an air lock, but it seems very odd. Is there something I need to do to sort it that I don't know about.

Any (sensible) answers greatfully received.

And Merry Christmas to everyone by the way.

Damo, there was loads of water came out, a lot of it over me. Yes, found the bleed nipple. Do I need to replace the washer when I've opened that up, or will it be okay just bolted down again?

At work when we bleed a system we always have the vehicle running on idle, unlock the bleed screws, once fluid comes out tighten up the bleed needles, then turn on ur heater system air con off, put the heater dials onto full hot, in the on face position and with reserc off, then wait for fan to cut in. hope this is to some help.

Then I just need to get the twin headlights working, which is being a pain, and we're sorted.
