Default Newbie :- Comments on my Car (its not a Ford)

i am new to these parts, and visiting the site for a few reasons, in the near future i am looking to buy a 3dr (really want a mint concous one not really bothered about BHP just about how clean it is) and my mate has a Focus and wants me to fit him a new engine.

heres my car
Corsa 2.5 V6 with NOS (got a Turbo unit to fit over winter)

Inside

Winter jobs

will be nice to see how the Ford boys think of this, as i have really only showing the Vaux people......

Comments welcome

As much as I hate Vauxhalls with a passion. That does look like a serious bit of kit. What sort of power figures are you expecting with the turbo?

Blacked out windows look a bit Max Power, but I like it - I imagine it upsets a few people . Not sure how it would handle on track though?

i am hoping for 320+bhp with the NOS (standard book value + direct port NOS x 25bhp per cly)
the engine without NOS is around the 200bhp mark (cams etc etc)

its not bad to say every wing is fiberglass and the cars weights next to nothing

the turbo is just a experment to keep me going over winter, as i have never tryed converting a N/A engine to run a turbo, so even if i dont get any power gain its all about the learning curve

Looks REALLY smart, granted i dont like tints but the rest of the look is mean and motorsport, so spot on.

Turbo soon too (wierd the ex housing being part of the manifold!)

Shame it FWD but hey. What diff u got in there?

Story behind the Manifold and turbo :-
GM also Own SAAB and the older V6 (like old cav's calibras etc) are basic the same engine as the SAAB 9-5 3lt single turbo (both use same bloke heads etc etc etc)
so the turbo is basicly the manifold and turbo unit off the SAAB 9-5 which lines up and bolts right on no problems at all

off the SAAB workshop manual

as for diff looking into that now
payed for my carbon fiber bonnet this week and will have to save for a Diff next, but getting power down seams not to be so bad as all the weight is at the front of the car

looks good, but i would want it looking a little more steath- id lose the front bumper, and tints, and go for something a bit more subtle!!!- looks like it would go well though!
