The "safest bet" Zetec Turbo is to use the Series II engine, which is silver top, and has 16v Zetec on the rocker.
These are the early type engines, but the 16v Zetec ones, as opposed to the DOHC 16v ones, have mods to the head to prevent sticking valves, that was a problem on early zetec heads.
Focus (Black top Mondeo are the same!), are good, imo better, but, they are a lot more money, you'll probably have a nightmare trying to work out how to mount it, but the main disadvantage is, you cannot use Calibra type pistons, as the rod length is different between the "Black Top" and "Silver Top" engines.
My advice is to use a 16v Zetec Silver Top 2ltr engine mate, they are ten-a-penny these days, and it's what people know, so are able to give you advice

had you turbo'ed it before then mate?
thing is collection, i live on the isle of wight mate
would cost me over £100 for boat fare and petrol to get to ya.
what sort of price you looking for mate in case i cant get anything local
