Default What will a T28 flow?

Just wondering what bhp a T28 would flow and at what point it boosts on a cossie engine?

Sorry - small argument to settle with a mate

You don't know if the T28 will flow any more than that do you?

I take it you've had 360 thrust bearing etc. put into that?

What point in the rev range does it boost at?

Cheers

Will

Sweet

Just that i'm setting my 2.0 Zetec Turbo up for 0-60's and sprints - want to make about 300 (give or take a bit) - but basically want drivability and as little lag as possible

My mate was trying to argue that a T28 wouldn't flow more than 260bhp even as a 'stage 3'

i used to run my T28 ( was a hybrid type) at 30psi, just the cores didnt last very long as the actual thrust is very small

Am i right in thinking the GT28 turbo's are roller bearing versions of the above?

Aren't roller bearings meant to reduce lag?

jap s13 turbo is good for 280bhp, s14/15 is good for 300 pulsar T28 is good for 330 at best.

The exhaust housing and wheel on the pulsar is different, the compressor housing is smaller on the pulsar one as well

s14/15 compressor housing on the pulsar turbo = 330bhp

would be on limit though.

So if i managed to get hold of a Jap turbo - and ran it at 300 - would i be looking at decent life or not?

Basically i don't want to constantly pour money into this - i'm happy to do it once and look after it

i would think 300 would be fine on a the pulsar turbo as it is...............if you wanted more than you can change the comp housing like i said.

Just get hold of a pulsar t28 and get it rebuilt and away you go.

i had an S14 comp housing and wheel on a small escort cos rear housing, i would recommend a 360 thrust or it will eat itself on a regular basis if your running sort of + 20psi regularly - mine did - hence why i changed turbos to get the bigger core bearings and thrust

T28 is as vague as T3, T4, etc etc, you see T28s that can flow no more 270odd, but others (GT2871R) that are good for 400bhp, but still technically a T28.

So question is, what T28?

BTW, S13 turbos are all T25s, not T28s
