Its an SR20DET, but thats NOT a S14 lump

Custom inlet and exhaust manifolds, but the ENGINE itself isnt a S14 one, deffo not

Curious turbo too, exhaust housing is as big or bigger than the inlet, like an on diesel Maybe he been ebay turbo shopping
Actually that might be a Pulsar turbo as they have huge ex housings.
Might explain the actual engine too...

Why ? Was just stating its got em, but thats totally irrelevant to the fact its NOT an S14 engine

They were in lots of other cars tho. And thats 100% not an S14 one, can tell from the pic

Looks to me like the Engine was too tall for the Engine Bay, so the Inlet Plenum had to be made like that to drop the height.

Also, the Rocker Cover is different to the 200SX one, it has different Breather Connections and no VVT.

I can't remember offhand what the Pulsar one is like, but I reckon that's probably a Pulsar engine.

Damn you chris!

S14 engines cam cover slopes back at the back, that dont.
That one doesnt have VVT as you can see it by the front cam cover shape etc, S14s have VVT on the inlet cam.
S14s have different breather connections too.

Its either a Pulsar SR20DET (unlikely TBH)

Or MUCH more likely...

An S13's SR2DET Didnt have em in the UK, but S13s from 1991 till when they finally stopped making em in 1998 they had the Non-VVT SR20.

They also had the smaller T25G turbo and different inlet manifold.

That was my next suggestion!!

I think its unlikely that someone would totally replace the Pulsar Inlet/TB set-up with that Plenum.

My money's now on the S13 SR20DET.

Whatever it is, its a nice conversion. Interesting Turbo. Laggy as fook I should think!!

I didnt think so, sooo much more likely to be a S13 SR20, but where you get that its a Pulsar one from?

Enough to fit big enough brakes to make a car that weighs prob than 900kg stop ok.

And ride height is irelivant as its got a totally different size engine in it, so different weight, much more than im sure the std susp could hold at std height!

What, the writing on the Rocker Cover? If so, it is right, the Pulleys go on the left, which makes the writing correct, no?

Having said that, the Pulsar has no writing on the Rocker Cover. There's no point, it normally has a stupid Intercooler over it!!

Whatya mean greg? If the engine in the MG was put in the Pulsar, the writing would face forwards!

Tho im 99% sure Pulsars didnt have any writing on their covers.

But it would have had the cover swapped with a S13 SR20

Put it this way, its a S13 SR20 like i said all along
