new stainless bolts for resto
anybody know any websites for custom stainless bolts.ford dont do rear suspension bolts anymore.u know the long ones that go threw the rear wishbone thing and holds the lot together

We have some in stock, but not sure if they are stainless.
Drop Martin @ MEFmotorsport a PM (details in the sticky at the top of the traders section)
We probabbly wouldn't use stainless as it wouldn't be strong enough though

Stainless bolts are alot weaker than normal bolts. IMHO use the corect grade.

yeh i will even use normal bolts instead of stainless.thot they might be a bit brittle.

so stainless are ok for non structual, but are to weak for structual? you learn sommat new every day!!!

stainless bolts have a lower shear strength than high tensile bolts

Most structural bolts are stamped 10.9 and lesser ones 8.8
The highest grade for stainless is A2 which is in between the two above, so ok for light structural but not heavy areas - I would not risk it myself as just like Gareth says they have less shear resistance

new bolts cost fook all to buy
just make a long list pic up the fone and order them
go to ford you will get ripped off completly
