Cossie ABS systems. Any Technical essays about?
The ABS light is on in my cossie (as does most peoples!), and was wondering it there are any technical essays about with troubleshooting how to find problems etc. Someone once told me that the system has a ECU you can plug a diagnosis machine into, but like the main system. Is this true? i have tried cleaning the wheels sensors but this made no difference. Any info would be cool.

Mike, stu was recently talking about writing something about diagnosis and repair, but I guess he needs a little time to put fingers to keyboard.
If you find anyone locally who has the knowledge and tools, let me know, need a diagnostic too
For info, Mark Shead is able to get diagnostics, but I am not sure how much diagnosis he can get out - give him a call.

Thats the problem, i have NO IDEA who can do it locally to us. I suppose a look through the yellow pages. But i would wanna try it myself first if there are any write ups. The one Steve is talking about sounds interesting. Would like to read that if you get a min mate.

You can measure the sensor voltages at the ECU I recall. Not sure how much diagnostic data is available.
I'd be very interested in learning more, as always!!

someone told me today that you can check the sensors by putting in a multi meter across the 2 contacts, and by wiggling the wire, if the resistance changes, it means the wires dodgy on that sensor. Is that true?
