Default escort cabriolet owners......

does anyone of you run a roof without a headlining? just thinking of taking mine out to save weight, do they leak at all if you remove them?

Leaves you with the wire mesh inner lining, which will be full of dust an crap, and no doubt every bump you hit, you'll get it droppin in your eyes

thing is ive just had a frame with the headlining and all seals and handles and rear screen delivered, just in the process of striping it all down, headlining looks a bit fooked, thinking about junking it completly

Not being funny but if you want to save weight why buy a ragtop ?? They're heavier than a standard car due to the strengthening !!! If you're that worred about it, sell the car, buy a S2 and strip it out !!!

im not worried about the weight just wondered if people had taken theres out and what it looked like with it out. ive taken the straw matting off mine as it stunk but left the vinyl headlining in at the mo.
