A mate of mine claims hes buying a mini.. with 115bhp.
He also rekons it will get to 60 in 4.5 seconds....
I think hes exagerating a bit...
So.. whos right? me who doubts 115bhp in a mini will get you to 60 in 4.5 secs? or him.. who claims it does?
Cheers

I would be surpised if it does 60 in under 7 seconds in reality, althouh will do it on the speed in under 6 probably as they normally over read!
115bhp is a little unlikely unless its on 1.5 roller rockers.
If it was 115bhp, then within 5000 miles it would be under 110.
I personally would be surprised if its a genuine 100bhp on a decent set of rollers even with roller rockers if its got a few miles on it since the build.
However, the devil is in the detail, mini miglias manage sub 4 seconds to 60 with N/a 1275cc engines.

Just like to say, that you say it does 60 in 4.5 seconds, but then again it says it does 60 in 6.5 seconds? Is some one getting there numbers mixed up.
Also pictures of this mini would be nice just cause am really into minis, most modified fast minis have been featured in miniworld or mini magazine. I heard of minis flying but thats only if they have things like this under the hood:
1998cc vauxhall XE calibra Twin cam 16v engine
apr competition rod bolts
twin 45 webers
rover 216 rad
eletric fan
tubular exhaust manifold
fabricated axhaust system
vauxhall F16 5 speed manual
Front breaks 8.4 inch vented, drilled, grooved front disks
standard front callipers
rear super minifin drums
non-serv system
front modified subframe
adjustable tie bars
'' l '' lower arms
gaz coil-over damper conversion
rear: rose jointed
fabricated custom rear arms
trailer stub axles
mini hubs
gaz coil-over dampers
all sitting on:
7x13 split rims
yokohama ao48r
175x50R13s
moris mini shell, removable clubman front end
modified nova front spoiler
sports arches
full roll cage
175 bhp

Sean Forsyth; Nah, the spec he showed was on a 1.4ltr engine, but the one he is "getting" is a 1500cc, which he claims will do 60 in 4.5secs.
J871yhk; Will show him that spec, see what he says
Chip etc, cheers for the replies, cleared some stuff up a bit

Ignore the times it will or wont do, you have a right laugh in a quick mini

The original guys specs on MSN say -060 6.5 seconds, i would have thought with the res of his specs 1.5 roller rockers would be nothing, that is one seriously dear gearbox!
