i don't understand why 12 positions are necessary. surely 3 would be enough, low middle and high? or top, middle or (his favourite) bottom, as barrymore would say.

Mike - who does it, any ideas, I have the switch and it all wired to ecu etc but Mr Hills seems unable/incapable of tracking the programme down for a 4 injector car running P8, fed up of waiting now. Car needs re-mapping anyway so want it doing all at once.
Spoke to Stu, he wasnt sure bout the P8?

Ahmed (07885 144 442) can do the whole lot and I'm puzzled as to your comments, as you just need the particular code in the ECU changed to convert the boost control from amal to air injector .

Lee - Have already got 12 pos switch or I would just get 3 pos.

So whats Paul Hills on about then? I got the air injectors and everything off him, and when I picked the car up he said he didnt have the map to do 12 pos on 4 injectors!????? Said he'd source it n send me a new chip, useless coont, no wonder am still waiting 2 months later WANKER! My m8 even got a copy of my chip off him and he still told him the same thing! Even when I ring him now, he still fobs me off and just offered me my money back on the 12 pos switch, TOSSER!

So my air injectors aint been working at all then?

NO!!
Your airinjectors Must work or your boost would be through the roof, so dont worry!

The 12position boost adds/subtracks variable hex value to the boost map and is nothing to do with the inverse air injector signal code actually....

This is confusing me!

Right, my car boosts over to 35psi and backs off to hold 28psi, turning the 12 pos switch has no effect on this.
My friends car (exactly same spec as mine) only boosted to bout 18psi and held it, but after a few wks, started to boost the same as mine, which it still does now even with the air injectors unplugged! He says his air injectors have burnt out!?

Whats going on!?

If the boost is the same with the air injectors unplugged or connected then clearly they are not mapped correctly. With the air injectors unplugged you will simply be running the maximum boost the turbo/actuator/engine setup is capable of doing. If when you then connect the air injectors there is no effect on boost levels, this implies the air injectors are mapped for max boost only. i.e. max boost level in the map.(which in the case of airs is power removed from the injectors)

Hmmmmmm, I havent tried disconnecting mine, as it isnt running again yet but will soon as I can.
So it would seem then that mine are mapped to run max boost (peak 35 and 28 held) but my friends must have burnt out as it reverted to the above boost settings after a short time of running 18 psi held and now they are unplugged it still runs the same settings, or mine have always been burnt out since I picked it up.
Thanks for the assistance peeps, its abit clearer to me now!

P.S Karl - Would you be able to re-map my car to its new engine spec including the 12 pos on P8, airs, ALS and Water Inj on 4 greys? Where do you do your mapping? Thanks.
