Alps Pacino- Depends really what your after,

I have a mate selling a genuine group N ecu which I had on my last nova and combined with the high torque cams it was probably the best thing I could of fitted without going down the carbs or TB route which costs a lot for the gains.

Nitrous on a xe is the simplest cheapest way to make big h/p but its no good really for the track as it wont last long enough ! but you can use anything upto 125bhp hit which transforms the car like no other mod would.

coilovers and a LSD are the 2 main things to making the car fast as they are quick enough in a straight line but lose out in the bends so improving the handling makes it a quicker car,

besides that teh only way of making it a lot faster for next to nothing is losing as much weight as possible, that does make a huge difference.

hope that is some help

Can you pm me a price on the group n ecu mate, in aint wanting to spend a fortune on it but need to make it a bit quicker. I think i might ditch the rear seats and fit a cage. Any ideas where i might find a nice cheap cage for project chav
O and it has billys on the front and avo coilovers on the rear. handles quite well really for what it is

Thanks very much for your comments, i wasn't sure what to expect when Karl (bigpower) put the pic up, i know what people think of Nova's

I was contemplating turbo'ing the 1.6 but the idea has started to fade a bit, mainly due to the rareness of the plate, i keep thinking it will de-value it, not that it's worth much but i've had it near on 5 years and i love it just as much now as the day i bought it, even with the stigma it might have attatched with it's name!

Your car is a true stunner, if they'd of made Breeze Blue in a GSi, that would have been my first choice.

Caroline.
Keep it as is!! trust me It's too tidy to start engine conversions...etc. Throttle bodies maybe??

The only think i would contemplate doing is to turbo it, but i really can't see that happening whilst i've got it. I was even putting leather in it at one point, but stopped myself because i'd be getting rid of the originality not that the wheels and the rest of it don't do that already
