10K+ Poster!!
i like Nova's personally, yeah i know theyve been chav'd up n spoilt by all the muppets who generally buy and drive them, but if styled nicely or tuned properly theyre great little cars.
so do it Alps... buy it
heres a few pics of my mates LET engined Nova
XE valver engine coming out
LET engine fitted with seam welded engine bay/front end
this is when the car was most fun, LET engined nova with rust all over the shop, we used to embarass people regularly in it was only a standard engine but on the move it kept pace with a 280bhp 3dr Cos and done 142mph at elvington
all finished just before he sold it

Ever been in one with a slipper or ATB diff and also using thick driveshafts?
You cant say just cause you have been in some rubbish examples that it means a decent example isnt worth having!
If you fitted a non LSD diff to your cossie and then decide all 3 doors are crap would you?
Sorry, but you are talking nonsense, a well setup LET nova is EASILY up to putting the power down.
Chris S on here runs a 2.0 60ft time on normal road tyres, and with a quaiffe you can manage the same sort of pull away coming out of a corner!
Ive owned both good and bad LET/Valver novas now, and the devil really is in the detail!
This red one for example was awful until it had the diff.
With the diff the only time it was a problem was in the pissing rain, and frankly i dont want to put 350bhp per tonne to the ground in the rain cause it would take me to speeds i wouldnt be able to stop from in the rain anyway!

In those conditions, even with the diff it wouldnt have been much better!

Went round tonight, took 1 look at it and its still in very good knick. Bottom of the door is rust and thats about it really. The arches are well wide and fiberglass with the front arches smoothed into the a piller. Astra gte front brakes avo coilovers, fancy cams, grey leather, sabelt harnesses its actually had a fortune spent on it he spent 3.5k at cortney for the engine alone . All that for £950 think i got myself a little beast for very little cash

Thought it was - Seen it at Doncaster & maybe Billing I think!
This is my project - Fully rebuilt 2.0 16v Turbo, 6 speed box with quaife diff, custom motorsport hubs & huge driveshafts. Shotblasted shell that has been entirely stitch welded by Central Blast Cleaning & is 100% rust free!!! now you don't see that very often!
Should be fun - when its done!

That the plan chip - Shell is just about to be painted in the same colour again since the shot blasting & then I can unite all those part together
Its been 3 years in the making so far
once its done I can start saving for the Escos

I was contemplating turbo'ing the 1.6 but the idea has started to fade a bit, mainly due to the rareness of the plate, i keep thinking it will de-value it, not that it's worth much but i've had it near on 5 years and i love it just as much now as the day i bought it, even with the stigma it might have attatched with it's name!
Your car is a true stunner, if they'd of made Breeze Blue in a GSi, that would have been my first choice.

Here is my little nova:
Its been about 3 years in the making now but it shud be done very soon as i have got my new engine built up to it at last. Big thanks up to now to Mark @ MAD for picking up the remains of the previous Autronic dealers runner and Ian Howell @ Area six for specking me the engine

I've got a 2.0 16v Corsa and it's great fun, better than any RS turbo any day.
Spank it's head in and it still comes back for more!
Cheap fun and very fast.
Nova is even easier to build.

Picked mine up tonight and tbh i thought it was well slow, nowhere near as fast as i was expecting. I suppose i have jumped from a 350bhp 2wd saph into it though . It seemed to go well 1st and 2nd out of rounderbouts etc but on the motorway wasnt much pull there
