I used to have a 280hp Calibra some years back and that would pull an indicated 150 @ around that rpm! Probably really only about 140 though!!

Did it not have 6 gears? My Cav turbo was hitting a "speedo" 150mph at about 5.5k in 6th

Brakes on way are 296mm 4 pots. What price can you do Martin? If you can beat deal I've been offered I'll take them from you.

It pulled easy to 6500 revs in 6th, which I make 161mph on this:

http://82.34.51.160/sytemsandsoftwar...Calculator.exe

Hitting the limiter in 6th (7500) would give me a theoretical 186mph. Will at Cossvaux (built car for himself before selling) too it to over 7k in 6th which is at least 173mph.

Give it a long enough road and I think it would pull to limiter.... but I'm not gonna try!

corsa turbos arn't that quick they suffer from massive traction issues, the non turbo 2.0ltrs (xe) are nearly as quick as they have more chance of actually having some traction , they could be fun but as most just drop them and and do nothing serious to the handling, "a set of high poundage spribgs and it'll be right"

Thats why were talking about motorway speeds as I know I can't do much in 1st 2nd and 3rd. Though if you have a brain you can adapt your driving style (shock horror), and feed the power instead of planting your foot like a brainless moron.

A 2.0xe being nearly as fast is one of the funniest things I've heard, my mate had an xe on carbs, was quick but a miles away from mine, even round town.

Tim,
You've been hanging round your Scooby owning mate too long . I would be VERY surprised if it exceeded 160mph .

Mike, less of the insults!

A passenger ride awaits you to disprove your non belief!

If somebody had told me before I experienced the car, I'd of laughed at the thought of it too..... but it just pulls and pulls!

Kev I do have traction issues from 70mph onwards.... in the wet Spinning in 5th last night

Tim,
Can't wait .

You have to remember, I've seen so many claims of "she pulls off the clock on the motorway", yet when timed with proper gear, fall woefally short !

I've not got a speedo, so I'm working things out off the revs. So it pulls straight off the clock as soon as I leave my drive

I'd love to get it on proper timing gear!

Thats got ridiculous gear ratio's, and he was on his own, I was 4 up! Admitted himself if I'd got into 5th and 6th gear I'd of mullered him. Normal scoobys are no contest for me! Easy!
