Default Lowest profile tyres on an 18" wheel?

I have a set of 18" comps that I am trying to squeeze under my front arches and wondered what the lowest profile tyre for 18" wheels would be?

It also seems that some tyre designs look lower profile than others even though they are the same size ie 215/35/18. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Cheers

Think that is the lowest profile you can go mate without doing any arch modifications

Can't you lift the suspension a little.

Falken FK451's are without doubt the skinniest tyres around, especially in 215/35/18.

There was talk of a 205/40/18, but not sure if it was ever made for mainstream sale. I think the V6 Clio uses it? I guess it will be expensive though.

In either case, don't under-estimate a tyre like that, it will be positively Hard and the slightest Pot Hole puts your wheels at risk.

Thanks chaps, I have found a 205/40/18 made by Dunlop but its one of those run flat tyres.. So would a 205/40 be lower than a 215/35 though?

I guess as its 205 it would be pulled around the rim more thus reducing the hight at the rim edge still further..

So appart from that the Falken's are my best bet?

204/40/18

Sidewall - 82.0mm
Diameter - 621.2mm

215/35/18

Sidewall - 75.2mm
Diameter - 607.7mm

So, the 215/35/18 would be the better bet from every angle if its a small tyre you want. Cheaper too.

Absolutely

I would only put those 215/35's on a 7.5" rim at worst, but better on a 7" rim.

I'm surprised you could find anyone who would do that.
