yeah the mounting holes dont line up.

The MFI manifold uses a seperate fuel injection mounting spacer plate the EFI manifold does not

This makes the injectors sit in the wrong place.

bollox

there is no cut out for the injectors so they would spray the heads wall rather than in the head

i converted a head from MFI to EFI even though got told it dont work, wont work ect and all thats actually happened is the guy has done 2 gearboxes and he got 3 points yesterday for a bald tyre

ill find the piccys and show ya

not recomemded but does work

the efi head aint actually better as the cut outs lead to a flat wall, so by converting a mfi head you can encourage the head to still have flow and not his a wall

oh and if ya did do it the efi gasket dont work, you have to make a gasket

i should have taken more piccys but xrt-si is a impatient fooker

ryan all was coverd, it was removed at the time to show the work i done so far, also the only way to compare

the other thing that was a converting a engine to efi as a temp measure while he decided of he wanted to keep the car as we fitted a mint engine 3 weeks ealier and that was ment to be MINT and done the rings on the way to central day

then melted on the way back,,,,, really mint that one

this one is taking 16psi from a .48 stage 2 4x4 cossie turbo and all thats hes had to replace is 2 boxes and tyres

now call it a bodge but its working and done more miles than my cossie and yours but together

so if it works and dont break down does that mean its not done properly

oh and total cost of conversion INCLUDING ALL EXTRA TOOLS ( dremel ) and engine,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, under 500 quid

so its called value for money

he could have done it properly BUT would have the same result no ????

what ya think about my latest porting job though, if ya can find a problem with that then its best ya pay people to do the work on ya cars

i spend a while on that when i can me bothered just trying to get that little extra out of it without making the port bigger than the valve hole is gonna be and make all 4 the same CC

lifes about taking risks, if ya take ya time anyone can do it, thought ima proved that
