How much do you get charged for selling things. I presume it will be a percentage of the total sale price but what it is???? The reason i ask is cause all me bits i bought for me series 1 resto are going on there i think cause i'm sick and i need the money, but if its a high percentage i wont bother cause i have thousands of pounds worth of parts

 

Generally speaking IMHO they make a disproportionate amount of money from listing upgrades. You pay extra for gallery, extra for bold, extra for using a theme, etc. etc. The final sale fees are probably less than you think, but some other things probably more.

Oh and remember PayPal charges are pretty high and for small amounts can end up 25% of the payment

No! Be about 3%!

 

It should be Ł2.00 for Insertion Fees. Then Ł1.57 + Ł18.53. Comes to Ł22.10. Then 1.75% of the final price which you add on to the Ł22.10 then you got how much it will cost to sell it. But that don't include the % charge paypal will take if the buyer pays via payal. It may also cost you more if you add bold, gallery etc

 

What a farse, i think i might just bang it on anyway and hope for the best. Whats it like for selling things, full of timewasters or generally ok.

 

I sell about 100 odd items a week. You do get the odd time waster but most of the time they are ok

 

I hope so cause i cant be arsed with bellends and general undesirables. I have tried to register 3 times now with no avail

 

Cost wise Ebay works out fine when you consider the other conventional routes of advertising and selling....you get tyre kickers with Autotrader, Local Press etc....90% of people on ebay are fine IMO just the odd numpty...
