They are just superb.

Matt et al,
Wasn't having a go at anyone else for chosing the M3 over the CSL, as they ARE cool cars. However, you know that my hobby involves track days and trips to the Ring, so the CSL would be the car of choice for ME .

Gareth has modded his M3 SMG with CSL wheels and brakes and he loves it .

Convertibles are for hairdressers .

Well your stuffed than Mike as they don't do the CSL in a convertable.

I know where your coming from though. You would look at the CSL as a replacemnet for your cossie, right??

My view is the CSL is too soft and slow for a track car, so wouldn't replace my Lotus. Mind you once I get to your age Mike and I have hung up my serious track day / race helmet, a CSL would be ideal for the odd forray onto track. Plus I will be able to fit my zimmer in the boot!!

Will post some pics.

Sean,
Suck my cock .

I was very impressed with the CSL at Donno and that would do me down to the ground. However, it wouldn't replace the Escort - it would be Jen's car and the Scooby would go. That won't be for a while yet though, as Jen still loves her Scooby.

The bluetooth link in the M3 is great Sean, its makes you sound really quiet and its almost like having a conversation with a normal person.

Just to make people laugh, the story behind Seans M3 is that he popped out to buy a SUMP PLUG for his Evo and then he called me

"it will give poorer economy in sports mode"

Sean, your car looks great Glad you're liking it.

Someone mentioned the M3CS earlier - nice motor and it does indeed have some of the CSL bits, but not the suspension. The CS does have "tuned" suspension, but not the to extent of the CSL. It does have the faster steering rack from the CSL, CSL "style" wheels and the nice alcantara steering wheel + "M-track" traction control. Has the bigger front discs too.
What you don't get of course... is that induction noise
