Default just test drove a new m3

i let my dad buy it first though as i thought mines faster

shockingly AWESOME drive i was "limited" to 6k (no full helmet until 1200m first service ) so i took it round the back lanes shortshifting, the thing grips amazingly well for a boggo standard car, mind you it wants to for 40 odd grand has so much more low down grunt than what i was expecting for a screamer (peak power is at 7900 or summat is it?)

ive told him to quickly drive to scotland and back a few times then hand me the keys again

and yes the interior he chose is homo, ive told him this repeatedly

...are you sure he let a Bell-End behind the wheel?

...Nice car except you just lost 5 plus K as soon as you drove it from the dealers

E46 M3's are unbelievably good for a standard car and at the money they can be had for now. It’s one of the cars I'm torn between buying at the moment. The one I test drove had crap brakes, heard that was quite a common complaint though

Did not see it was your dads! fair play!

my dad was never into his cars just before he died I took him out for a blast in a mates Vanquish S and he kept screaming at me to slow down!

They actually ride and handle better on the 18's anyway. I'm sure Sean will be getting the CSL 19's for his so maybe you could do a deal for his old ones

There isnt one as yet but i think the dealers are taking orders, late 06 early 07 its due out.

It will be superb with the 420bhp V8 8k revs, and the smg3.

Im quite tempted by the Z4M which will have the same engine as the current M3,due out in a bit i think

i think it runs a slightly different engine map and makes the throttle more responsive ie a smaller movement for a larger change in revs

Really goods car,but you have to draw the line at how much you want to spend on one from new as they will lose so much money.

Very nice car Matt.

On the SMG E36 the sports mode simply allows the car to rev higher before changing up whilst in auto mode, id have assumed the E46 would be the same.

The sport button changes the engine map, gives it sharper throttle response.

Very nice.

Now buy the 1000 Mile-old Supersprint FULL exhaust system (including Metallic Sports Cats) that we have sitting here!! It makes it sound NICER than a CSL and gives a very noticeable power hike.

Normally sells for over £2k!!

Yours for £1250!

Christian, call Sean 07967662294 he is out in his right now and loving it!

Think £1250 is a bit much for a Second hand exhaust though myself

This particular one consists of a Front Section with Metallic Cats (these are almost a Grand), a Centre Section and a Lightweight Racing Rear Section (this is a Grand also).

The guy bought it, then about 3 weeks later decided that he needed a van more than a car, so sold it! Nice.

Anyway, here's some pics.....
