Help required - headlight ducts

Help required - headlight ducts
As you know, I have been having cooling issues with the car and want to get some cold air into the engine bay. With this in mind, I want to do something like Shonky's with the inner lights removed.
So all the people that have done this, what have you used for mesh and have you ducted the air in anyway?
Pitcures would be most helpful .

Andy,
Yes, get your coat .
This is what I want to use, but I was wondering what people use for mesh when they do this. For example, a speaker grill, as this could be bought shaped like the headlight?
Come on peeps, I've seen loads of cars with grills, but have never looked close enough to seee what was done...
Rob,
For the hot air to be removed out of the engine bay, the louvres have to be facing the way they are on the car, as the air passing over then draws the hot air from out of the engine bay (as my scorched vents prove - and that's despite a heavy duty Spec-R heat shield and happened at high speed cruising and NOT with ALA )

Michael, you can get pliable/mouldable speaker mesh.... Any decent audio place will have, or have access to some.
Alternatively:
A: Direct cold air feed straight to turbo, utilising a pair of your old tights for filtration....
B: Just stick a K&N cone in the inner light aperture straight to turbo...(outside of engine bay so no hot air drawn from engine

Demon Thieves do a plastic inlet duct for about £15 each which fits behind the mesh fog grilles perfectly, chanel these into flexi spiral wound hoses into the bay around the cooler
They look original as well so no chav appeal. I had them on my 500 bumper feeding into the original airbox with an extra inlet in the base of the box

Thank you, some half sensible replies from some people .
Just to point out I can't use the fog-light grills, as the offside one is already utilised to feed cold air to the airbox, as per the OE arrangement on the Escorts.
I like what John has done to his (I knew I had seen it somewhere ), I just need the grills and the ones from Maplins sound ideal.
Any more for any more?

I haven't got any pics, BUT.............
I removed the inner headlight and fitted a recessed alloy spun trumpet (that Pipercross sell. I then used a 6" speaker gril, and "modded" it to fit - looks pretty good to me!
