just bought a rs 2000 mk5 [PICS ADDED]
Hi peeps
Myself and my mate Lee have bought an Rs2000 mk5 we are going to strip it and use it as a track day car
it's totally standard and has coverd only 34,000miles from brand new !!
it has full service history ,hpi clear ptetty mint apart from little hole on rear chassis rail (normal rust spot)
it's a one owner car from new
the bloke we got it off has kept every receipt even the fuel Receipts 
I know it's Fwd but it will be ok with uprated suppenssion mods/ ap brakes/ adjust tca's /tyres/slicks /cage and loads of weight loss
so i'll be looking for some cheapo Front/rear Gaz Tarmac coilovers kits maybe a set of 7.5 x17" comp mo's and a few other bits and pices
I think Martin H will be bizzy with my old credit card for a while
i post some pics up when i get time
so if any of you need parts of this car when it's striped ,i will put a post on the Rs section parts for sale

So i bought Karls own 205 Mi16
Fitted the oil cooler yesterday, next week the cage is going in then we are away
Got good brakes and suspention on it so that is half the battle like you always say

what Bilsteins you got lying around ? i can machine the hubs to make fit
I know it's going to be a snail psml I'm not to botherd about the engine mods yet just want to sort out suspension/chaissis for now

You have just finished getting your 3 door sorted with the new brakes and new bumper for the slicks, and Lee has the blingest track day car on the fooookin planet??

i don't know if you heard but we got the car pretty cheap
Lee asked me would we just turn it in to track day as a spare car incase any of our cars couldn't make it to a venue once we booked on, you know how cars fook up sometimes
and the other reason is we want to go "snail metro slaying " in a reasonable priced car
I have orderd the bilstien tarmac spec allready
i'll let you know what back end i'm going for I'm going to ram raid Martins Metro if he wont move out my way on track and bumping is allowed

M, do you mind me asking how much you paid? DaveyBoy and I are thinking of getting one but he isn't overly keen on spending 3.5K to get my old one back
