I did the ring in my mates one last year.... good little weapon, not fast but it aint about acceleration on track its about momentum and braking. I really enjoyed driving it.
Remove the EGR on the exhaust and put a panel filter in it and you'll be laughing on the engine...
As for the purests.. I cannot believe people pay more than 2500 for these cars even MINT, they just aint worht it at all..
bloke on my road has a minter than mint MK6 RS2k its done next to no miles and is immaculate.. concourse condition easy- nice and tastefull 17's morettes and as he's a sprayer by trade they're matched. Been for sale for 10 months cuz he wants 3800- shocking!!!!!

you have to admit the WRC Focus was only 90bhp on slicks so it didn't do to bad really , i suppose it shocked a few peeps and opened up a few peeps eyes that it's not all about power

I can't see why they are worth that much to be honest
they are not fast , i think this car is proper snail Now if they were a limited run and RWD like the old Rs2000's mk1/2's they would be worth a fortune now thats my opinion anyway
I was down at Scotty's today sorting out a few bits and pices for it
the bilsteins coilovers will fit on the front and the rear just a little mod to the rear thats all

thats the whole idea ,if we do break it or crash it , it hasn't cost us a great deal
if your with Sean in his lotus ....my cossie wouldn't stand a chance tobe honest i know i have been in Sean car and it's amazing it's like a go cart and how can a normal shopping car stay with that machine around corners ?
if your in your cossie it should be pretty close i wouldn't say wouldn't be a lot in it
we wil have to get it on and see Tiff
The focus estate was cool , i wouldn't mind another one very good handling car i was impressed with it around the corners , they are one of the best handling FWD cars out there

it was a good battle thats the whole idea of slicks
slicks are worth atleast another 100bhp on a car

First thing I would do would be to remove the exhaust manifold and grind out the EGT stuff! De-cat, Mongoose exhaust and a chip will see about 170bhp, a mate of mine has one which has only those mods to it!
Strip it out and it shouldn't be too slow

thats what we are going to do , i have been told that inside of the 4 branch manifold thats where ford welded them together .
Rather than us grinding out the weld and re welding it on the outside we are just going to buy an Ashely 2.5" mild steel 4 branch mainfold
with a mongoose stainless exhaust
it won't be that slow because it will stop and go around corners + it will be on slicks

the std exh is VERY good... well mainfold is...
Spend your money on the inlet thats where the power restriction...
Its UK enigne... I worked with the guys that designed it while I was at ford!!
Mines done 70k mines of full bore tracks and road and the only failures so far are:
clutch (oil seal in gearbox at 70k)
rear wheel bearings (x3 till I reliased it was a bend hub)
Clutch broken at 130k
THATS IT!
Services every 10k as ford said, with ford parts!!!!

i would change the oil after every trackday tobe honest for what it costs
what they like for surge problems with slicks on ??? would i be better off welding on wings on the sump nearly every engine suffers from surge with slicks on it
