Default MT75 quickshift ?????

Are these any good ie do they make a lot of difference ??

are there any bad sides to fitting one of these ?

the gearbox has to come out to do the clutch so i thought maybe fitting one while its all out

not a b & m one but one of those swedish ones that woodford sells

any opinions on these at all ?

cheers...........matt

I have one, it was on the car when i got it, but i've driven one without the kit and it feels terrible just becuse i'm used to it obviously. You could always chop your gearstick and if you don't like it, just weld it back together......

You have to apply MORE force with a quick shift surely?? less leverage??

Matt, i bought one from Rayy Design.

About £45 all in.

Eay to fit once the box is out and it makes the box feel a lot better as Gus said.

Have to knock the split pin out of your original gearstick and swap the bottom half with the q/shift one.Just have to take the cradle off the box and take a bolt out a circlip off and the stick will come out of the box, easy.

Well worth doing if your box is coming off anyway.

The short shift utilises better leverage, which = shorter shift throw/quicker gearchange, the quicker the change, the more chance of beating the synchromesh (which isn't a good thing, esp. on the shonky 4x4 box) - that's the theory anyway....

This is why I haven't used one, but I have to say I've never tried one either.......

Yes Matt, it uses the top part of your stick and looking at it you cannot notice any difference.
