Default My Great week in the UK and Canada! (now with pics)

Hi Peeps,
What a great week I had. I went over for National Day and loved every minute of it! Cool meeting up with
Some old faces and new ones. The touring cars were amazing along with the other super nice cars there.
A Very big up to the Performance Ford crew and Big thanks to my UK twin Nick! Thanks for the getting me at the airport and dropping me off.
MAD boys, WTF! When’s the MADness going to stop! Holy shite how freakin fast!!! RESPECT to Great guys!

Ian (Sludge) Keep up the great work with RS Mania! You’re a top guy.

Thanks to Brom for getting me in front of the que to get a ride in the Reyland 3dr! LOL those are guys didn’t
Look too happy.
Porkie and Martin, thanks for taking me around the track, it was simply amazing! Martin, I’m taking you up on
The offer to take me out next year in your Escort. Marco, Sean, Dingy, Rich, Pete, Plynchy, so many peeps
I had such a great time. Thanks guys!

My week didn’t end with England though, I got back home was here for a day and ˝ then off we went to Canada.
Drove my cossie and T’s car 8 hours + (each way) plus there are some very NICE roads that aren’t populated with
The old bill. We took advantage of it!! I’ll put up some pictures of the Canada BBQ with a bunch of Merkur owners
And 2 3dr.

Thanks again, all you guys rock!!

-Erik

Plynchy, the cossie made it there 8 hours of driving, ripped up some roads and I do mean giving it some hard right foot action on the twisty's and hills the 3 days we were there! then drove 8+ hours back home.

Taryn's car did the same except about 25mins from being home her timing belt snapped. It's in the garage now but will be look at this weekend, other than that we had some very FAST times on the roads.

Some pictures for you guys from the meet up in Canada, enjoy.

The local car cruise spot where the old muscle cars gather, well until we got there LOL.

How cool is this, at the drive in!

Two MB 3dr's in Canada, who would of thought it! LOL

Lining up for the "spirited" cruise.

Damn they're sexy when wet!

Ready, set, GO!

That's it. Hope you like them.

Hi Neil, all the cars are XR4Ti's with Cossie bodykits/bumpers,spoilers. Except for the 2 Moonstone Blue ones.

Who organized the meet? it was a SOMO BBQ (Southern Ontario Merkur Owners) along with the peeps from my merkur site (Merkursport.com). It was an awesome time and can't wait to do it again next year.

May I add that I did have a quick play with a Scooby on the way home, but after I left him behind, he didn't want to play anymore.

Neil! Its Alan

Looks an awesome event and always good to see pics of both of your cars especially Taryns in that colour with the headlight surround with all the US and Canadian scenery.

Scooby's get a bit like that for some reason!lol

Thanks guys,
Oh sorry Alan!! FPMSL where the hell did I get Neil from??? LOL

Yeah the Scooby pulled up hard and passed me (I wasn't even looking) then I figured I'd give him some play so I pull up hard next to him and then keep going. I slow down to wait for him..but he went a couple of lanes over and didn't try to even catch up! LOL.

Pics look amasing.

Been thinking quite a bit of uping sticks and moving out to the States and now I know Cossie's are there it may be even more of an incentive. Especially as I just filled up the Audi on normal crap unleaded and they raped me for 93.9p/litre
