Default Anyone got AVO adjustable shockers on thier car?

How do you rate them? Any good?
I bought a set for my 3dr to replace my fooked Konis and was suprised to find they dont rebound on thier own like a Koni would.
I presume this means they arent gas shockers?

There doesnt seem much difference between the soft and hard settings on the front ones the back however have a massive difference between soft and hard, and they come with poly bushes already in

Anyone got any experience of these shocks then?

I've had mine for just over a year and they seem really good, except one of the fronts has started to leak and I am getting a pool of oil in the spring cup. Its obviously leaking through the adjuster. I've spoken to Avo and they will repair it under warranty

One of mine is leaking too. And even with them set on full soft it's still a harsh ride!

Rab, have you got the right combination of springs and damper. Mine is a little harsh but not too bad. I run 375's at the front and 175's at the back

I have the Chassis Dynamics -40mm springs. It's on my XR2. I might try a softer spring. But it's all polybushed so it would kinda ruin it if I softened it. On the track it's a different story

i run them on my cossie, over 5 years old, and not a problem.

i run 450 on front, 240 lb'ft spring on rears. fine on road, and seem ok on track.

but i haven't run any other shocks on it, to say their better than any other brands.

well on 300 fronts,

the car dived like mad, infact was dangerous, if you back off power and straight on the brakes.

i spun the car badly at 140mph cos of this, but luckly managed to pull it back.

on my 450 & 240 springs, car handles lot better, and is fine on road, i wouldn't even say its harsh.

lol, yeh great price
I take it they arent a gas shocker being as they dont rebound on their own like a Koni does?

Well impressed with the rears but there doesnt seem much difference between the hard and soft settings of the fronts. Is that normal?

I had AVOs and left them on softest, even though they was mega low i wouldnt say the ride was bad at all, and handled well (for a sierra )

Far better than the wanky wallowy Konis i had before too.

Obv not best shockers out there, but they cheap and good for the cash
