Default Digital Camera advice

Hi,

Looking for a cheap but decent digital camera with either a good re-chargable battery or one that doesn't eat batteries by the second.

Looking around the £100 mark!

Any suggestions??

Thanks in advance,

Hayley

to be honest i dont think theres such a thing as a digi cam that doesnt eat batteries!
you should be able to pick up a fairly decent one with £100, if your that worried about batteries just buy some re-chargable ones and a charger maybe

Duracell ultra m3 batteries i find are excellent and last so much longer than any other battery ive used

PC World had the Fuji 3500 on at about £129.

I find the batteries (4xAA) last about 64 pictures.

Not a bad camera to boot at a 4.1 megapixel.

All digi camera eat batteries. What I was told is that you need to buy the highest mh rating you can find.

Jessops have these 2000mh with a charger for £13

Sony 2300 for a score

As for camera anything 3MP upwards is fine for most ordinary use. (goes up to 10x6" IIRC.

And if you get a separate card/media reader which runs on USB then you wont need to have the camera on to put the pics on your computer. Which is good for battery life.

Personally Id spend a bit more than £100. Nikon 4MP £140
Canon 3.2MP £160

for that sort of money you wont get much but click the link below:

it is a nice camera, easy to use and has a good lense. For this money you cant really go wrong.

or get a camera that comes with its own li-ion battery.

my sony DSCP1 lasts quite a while

also anytihng above a 2MP will be fine, thats takes pictures that will be hi-uality up to about A3 size so i think thats good enuf people just upping and upping the specs to get people to buy them, but TBH they're well overspecced for 99% of the population
