to be honest i dont think theres such a thing as a digi cam that doesnt eat batteries!
you should be able to pick up a fairly decent one with £100, if your that worried about batteries just buy some re-chargable ones and a charger maybe

Duracell ultra m3 batteries i find are excellent and last so much longer than any other battery ive used
