Default Exhasut Sealant?

My exhasut is blowing where the custom down pipe has been made, through some of the welds. Tried to seal it with some gum gum paste, but i thin its got too hot and flaked off. Anyone recommend anything? Maybe something that doesnt set hard?

It's home-made mate, isn't it?! So you have to fix it yourself

use a high modulous bathroom sealant mate, and before you start laughing, and then telling me not to be stupid, try it, the stuff im on about smells very strong,

im now going to say no more about it, only how hot do you think it gets between my manifold and the head on the car in my sig, when its done a 10 mile stage with als on ?

trust me

p.s dont tell everyone - just leave it for abotu 30mins to cure, and then let it warm up before revin the stones off it, you will never ever use exhaust paste ever again, or even exh gasket pal

Rick,
What about RTV silicone?

take the top off and smell it - if you screw your face up after a good whiff - that stuff will do !
