Default ELITE car sales in essex!!!!

let me be the one to warn you away from yet another ripp of car company......

after buying the car and realiseing its overboosting i called them to see if they could fix it........

and you guess'd it there was nothing wrong with the car sir!!!!

well obviouslt there is and appaerntly the ''warrenty'' only covers stuff like engine gearbox and that for 3months but not the fact it doesn't run correct!!!!!! ''SO I SAY SO IF I RUN IT LIKE THIS TILL IT BLOWS YOU'LL REPLACE IT ALL THEN''

'' NO BECAUSE YOUR THREATENING TO DO IT''

but i can take out a guarenteed warrenty for £400 for 12 covering everything but '' i didn't take that''

i told him the costs of fixing it he said he wont pay and after alot of argueing he said if i take it down (400miles) he'd be interested in seeing wots wrong.....

me '' interested but not willing to fix it?''

gary '' well no as the fault was after you bought it''

SO JUST FOR YOU ELITE:- YOUR ALL TUGGERS!!!!

the cranks a warrenty is a warrenty unless made void, if your car has a mechanical failure and its covered by a warrenty surley they HAVE to fix it ?

on another note my mate recently got a Y reg scoob wrx for 10k, NO warrenty and 2 weeks after he got it he lost 1st and 2nd gear so he took it back to the garage were he got it from and they fixed it free of charge (even though he had no warrenty and a new full system on it with no cat)

it's just good buisness practice because now i'd buy a car from them because of previous experience that mates have had, where as i wont buy a car from elite car sales now so in theory them not gaurenting you a warrenty that you paid for could have lost them £xxxxx amount in the futre and thats just off me !

as what i said on FT i think this should be a name and shame really for bad customer service

good of them to fix it but unless you agree with them about no warranty dont they have to give you 3 months by law?

I'm sure that unless a car is sold as seen it has to be honoured with a 3 months warrantly if sold by a garage, and any private sale is automatically sold as seen.

But warranty is bollocks, most places wont replace sod all, ask what they actually cover and it wont be a great deal from a 2nd hand car dealer.

The other problem is that turbo'd cars can easily be tweaked and run to much power and blow something so not many places will do a decent warranty.

Did you buy the Imperial Blue Escort Cosworth that they had up for £14995?

I'm guessing you did as the above car is the car in your sig!

Was it as good as they said it was?

I thought about it but the mileage was bit high for me.

exactly my point but i dont think you can put "sold as seen" on the receipt thimk it has to be somthing like "sold as spares or for breaking"

And the goods must be, quote "fit for the purpose for which they are sold"

Even if a car is sold with an "insurance warranty", the dealer is still liable for the first 30 days
