Spinning thing on top of a Tranny?

No, not that sort of a tranny ............ im talking about the 4 wheeled variant with the blue oval at the front.
Right, the question basically is ......... and bear with me on the technical side here ............. but you know the black things on top of the roofs of some vans, they circulate air in the back of the van. Well what the hell are they called and where do you get them from?
My mate has just manged to take his off by going under a bar that was just a little too low. We went to Ford but were told its not a Ford part. The guy told us most people get them put on afterwards as they're not put on in the factory.
So what are they called and where would you get 1 from? Also, can any 1 point me in the rough region of a price on 1 of these?
Its a 1998 S reg transit.

Dunno WTF they are called to be honest. The only thing I can suggest is going and asking any commercial body builders/van liners in your area if they have some or know what/where etc.

Went to a couple of motor factors but no luck with it yet. No 1 seems to know they're called either so i cant just type it into google and see what that throws up.
