someone told me that it wont make much difference iif you dont have the water running though the turbo due to ot water passes through there anyway and dont really make it much cooler is this true dont the S1 do this sort of idea?

 

The S1 T3 unit is only oil cooled, if you dont run water through the T3 unit on the S2 you'll have to block off the water way on the drivers side of the radiator


shouldnt be a problem either

 

S1's are oil cooled only S2's are oil & water cooled.
I had to block off the water feed on one of my S2's for a while & it ran fine - no probs whatsoever.

been hiding mate got my S2 bakc on the road and nearly got a S1 back after respray.

roosie it will befine aslong as ya allow the turbo to cool alittle before shutting off

anything with oil inside is there to not only aid lubrication BUT it also keeps the temps down too so it acts as a coolant but not as efficiant as a seperate cooling system


means nothing on a T3 turbo though
