Default how good is a zetec turbo with 9:1 c/r omex etc...

jut run in my zetec turbo with no boost

after some tething problems with the feriday copper headgasket i ended up with a diferent head on my car because the chap that built it blamed the problem on a cracked head but it was thegasket not sealing properly so he slaped on my std one feom my 2.0 fiesta

the head was modified to lower the c/r aswell

so i just did some calculations

combustion chamber 47cc
pistonn with 86mm
stroke 88mm
copper gasket 1.5mm
piston 1.5mm below deck

if im right thats nearly 9.1

my brother says them 20v turbo engines run at 9.5or somthing like that and the focus rs is quite high aswell so that made me fel a bit better

so what results do you think i will get with the folowing spec on optimax fuel

cosie greens
omex
pro alloy intercooler
t3 with t34 compressor wheel
H section rods (from burtons)
acrlite pistons
balanced crank etc..
130ps cams

im feeling a bit aboutit because i havn't rearly ended up with what i wanted in the first place

so i thought i would put a post up to see if im worrying about nothing

cheers

compression ratio = ( V + C ) / C
where V = swept volume, (measured in cc)
C = combustion chamber volume (measured in cc)

in your case... V = 510.9cc and C = 63.2cc

= ( 510.9 + 63.2 ) / 63.2
= 574.1 / 63.2
= 9.08

Comp Ratio 9.08 : 1

i think i've still got the cross over pipe actually!!

It was RR'd at 240bhp (run in 5th gear as it didnt have enough grip in 4th, so reading would have been +10bhp more or so if run in 4th) and a lot of torque (figure was 305lb ft ish)

The only thing which will be interesting will be to see how it revs! I had Karl play with my cam timing and we couldnt get it to rev any more than around 5750rpm in the higher gears (would do the 7k limiter in 1st / 2nd) but then not wanting to do more than 5.7k after that.

We never got to the bottom of why it didnt rev (whether it was the head not flowing well or whatever) cos I ripped the engine out in favour of doing it properly
