What mapping lesson for the S8?
Simon phoned me up recently to give me advice on the fact that the S8 doesnt communicate well with an XP laptop, (i was having trouble making a conneciton) thats purely an S8 specific communication protocol thing though and got fuck all to do with mapping, hopefully now its sorted i will be mapping it next weekend (as im at TOTB this weekend)

How is asking for a base map the same as not being able to map it?
Why start from scratch when its on a basic spec that a map is available for, thats just giving yourself extra work surely?

Anyway, my cossie is just transport to me, i have no problem going to someone else to get them to map it if its quicker than doing it myself as id like it up and running asap, my project is my mini and thats the only car i claim to have done everything on myself, the cossie i havent even built the engine on its just what came to me in the first place, at some point in the future i probably will do, but for now, its purely transport.

Stu at MSD recently got someone else to change his gearbox for example, so does that make you think he isnt capable of doing it, or simply that he didnt have the time/facilities spare at the moment.

You really are a complete fuckwit at times Phil, you cant actually open your eyes and see things even when they are right in front of you.

Im not jealous at all Phil, im proud of my father and what he has achieved with his life, i just havent gone into business off his back as a way of opting out of having my own life.

As for me being predictable in responding to you, yes of course, what you said was blatantly wrong so it was perfectly obvious that it would get corrected.

If i post and say
2+2 = 6

and then post again to say "i bet you say its 4" thats basically the same thing, and doesnt make the person saying 4 predictable, it simply makes them correct and the original statement wrong.
