It's normally No. 2 or 3 (particularly No.3), as these get fed the most air out of all four cylinders due to the design of the plenum. So for you to have problems with No.4 on all occasions, suggests to me you have a fuel supply problem and that you should be checking No.4 injector out in particular.

Normally the middle ones that fail, they work harder and get less cooling.
What failed specifically though when it went?
If its bearings, it could be an oil supply problem as often that will manifest itself first furthest from the pump

Paul,
It doesn't matter WHO builds an engine, if it has a fuelling problem or is mapped incorrectly, God could have built the engine and that wouldn't save it .
It just seems really bizzare that you have had the problem on No.4 on all your engines, when in my experience (and most other's), it is the middle two ?

Doug, that is NOT a build issue.
Absolutely categorically definately not.
So please dont try and implicate harvey for that one!
Looks more like an injector clip came off on an 8 injector setup or something along those lines?
(or some other reason for it going lean on that cylinder only)
