You best bet is to look out for a written of FRST and buy it complete, I know this seems expensive but buy the time you have bought all the parts you need you'll have spent the same sort of cash, plus buying a bumped motor means you can put them next to each other for the exchange, just make sure it's mechanically sound.

Once it's all done you can then sell off the bit's left over from the two cars, kit etc.

your best bet mate is to just transplant a rst eninge there, u ideally need a scrap rst to get all the parts of, its relativly easy to do if ur confident, to get the bits try a breakers like Ashfield Motorsport (the have an addie in the bar above), i think u will need:

Engine
Gearbox
Loom
Fuel tank

I think thats abt it but everyone feel free to correct me

I would also reckomend working out all the costs and compare that to buying a FRST, see what the diffo is, remember your fiesta will always be an XR2i so wont be worth as much no matter how much cash you dump into it, FRST going for £2k at the mo, if not cheaper with abit of searching.

I had a minty black one and loved it, best car I ever bought and shouldn't have sold it.

I have always wanted a turbo but when i saw this xr2i i fell in love with it, you wouldnt believe how tidy it is and one owner before me which is rare with such an old car. Full service history and no rust thought i could turbo it without full engine conversion. I have a mk2 fiesta which i did a full engine converion on as it was once a 1.1 but thought the xr2i wud be easier to do

Hi Frenzy...

It's a doddle to turbo a 2i/3i (Efi - which all 2i's are..)

Check out my write up on ST's site. (ignoring the url title, cuz it's n/a-efi to turbo-efi, not kjet..!! )

http://st2000.s5.com/kejtoefi.html

Everything you need to know is there, regarding the OFAC conversion atleast..
Cost... could be as low as £500 if you know the right people.. Mine was an R&D experiment and ended up costing circa £2.5after a couple of rebuilds..!!! but hopefully my mistakes should save you from going thru the same thing..
