Had a high powered RST, had drove/been in loads of cossies/Jap stuff and loved it, loved the power but then realised there's more to GP traffic lights/Motorway drag racing, then met a Cossie on an B road in an M3

I love cossies, always have, but i have to say i'd go for a new shape M3 over ANY cossie any day of the week!!!! And i like the E36 ones too.

Same again, not to say i don't like cossies cos i love em!!! Just think M3 is a little more refined! I'm used to losing, I drive a vectra SRi everyday car that gets beat by a saxo VTS lol!

they are nothing special on B roads either. i have a video of me pushing an E36 M3 Evo along a good windy road at high speeds (saw about 140mph). i was stuck to his arse all the way with plenty left, even on the corners i was right on him.

i don't think it was an Evo really as it wasn't quick at all. the lad swore blind it was.

i think they are overrated, especially considering an old Datsun like mine is shit at handling.

well .... he tried to keep up at the next roundabout but he was shown that there was more to the h plate taxi was shown a very clean set of heels as the old shed shot off i gave up after that

and if i had the money to buy an m3 i still wouldnt ....

Why do people think the M3 is slow.

It's perfectly capable of running a 13 second quarter, which is pretty much the same as a stage 3 cossie.

Also, when yuo say you beat him, I bet it was by a few metres - big deal. He'd leave you standing on track Pete

As a standard car it beats a standard cossy in every way.

Still wouldnt own one though as i find them to dull
