bedding in procedure

Default bedding in procedure

just fitted new front brakes, nothing special just standard mintex.
just wondering if theres any bedding in procedures on them, what do you guys do?
the ones that i took off were warped and i dont want these ones to.

any advice much apreciated

Take it easy(if possible) for first 200 miles or so and try and avoid any hard braking.

Opinions vary on this one, iirc ferrodo recommend braking hard (can't remember how hard) several times, that's what's written on the paper that comes with their 2500 pads.

you really should bed new disks in with old pads for a few miles! then change the pads

will put the old ones back in then as they're still good.

Craig, the reason I ask was partly to do with what Gareth said. Taking it too easy can glaze the pads up and screw them, the way mine are usually bedded in is to get some heat into them and allow sufficient cooling time between applications.

Remember also, to try not to keep your foot on the brake as you come to a complete stop from high speeds, as this can cause thermal problems with the disks.
