Wish you could help me then Tony.

Details passed last Friday to Darren who kept me hanging on then said he would call me back. Here we are now at Tuesday and still no call.

Meanwhile I have a car sat uninsured whilst waiting for your quote.

Hi Tony,

Sorry for the delay with your quotation buddy, with your vehicle being a competition rally car it had to be referred to underwriters individually and a number had not replied to Darren.

I was out of the office yesterday at a meeting in Birmingham all day, then went straight to see the Hammers yesterday evening so haven't had a chance to log on, or speak to Darren until this morning.

Just to let you know, i've taken your details from Darren & am on the case buddy.

Will get back to you later today.

Kind regards

Tony

I ended up insuring with my current insurer as I tried to get details on more than one occasion. A bit disappointed in Greenlight but I am still insured.

Thanks anyway

Just called: no good.

Minimum quote of Ł400: didn't even go through the details. just took car & my age & how many NCB (9 yrs !) & my best quote. I've already got one better than that.

Hi Nuts Rus,

I sent the initial PM to you with full quote details but got seconded to working on too many things at once so didnt get back to you in time

I'd been maintaining a personal vigil when I could, but my position here means i'm involved in a number of projects which take up quite a lot of my time.

The best bet is if you've not heard back - contact Neil here at Greenlight and he will be able to sort things immediately.

Please accept my apology for our not following up by telephone in this instance.

Kind regards

Tony

Hi Shaun,

To explain, our Insurers set minimum premiums for certain types of vehicles depending upon their performance for the particular vehicle or group rating.

What we have probably done is identified you as low risk and tried to save you having to spend 10 mins on the phone for us to quote you Ł400 when youve had Ł300 - no offence was meant by this approach & apologies we couldnt help you at the time.

Due to decent performance from the guys weve covered under the Passion Ford scheme to date our minimum premiums have just been reduced along with our vehicle groupings (see our other post today) which has allowed us to offer lower rates then before.

Kind regards

Tony

I'm more than happy with Greenlight, I've just renewed with them for the 3rd year, having said that, I haven't actually had to use them yet *touches wood*

Only problem I have is that people in Essex seem to speak way to fast and I can barely understand the accent innit

Do you have anything in place for company car users with no NCB?

I have over 5 year record on company car...

Thanks

Hi Mark,

Providing that you can get proof that you were covered upon the policy and that you were the main driver of the vehicle (ie. took the vehicle home every night) with a 5yr company car record we could negotiate a 65% introductory discount.

Hope this helps..

Kind regards

Tony

Hi Buddy,

No can do im afraid..

If youre covered as a named driver you are earning that person bonus, not yourself and would not be entitled to an NCB in your own right.

This happens to a lot of young drivers that have been covered under their parents name with their parent as the "main" user. The companies that do this would be rating on the main user and their bonus, not the named driver.

If an underwriter was gullable enough to do this the named driver would be getting cheap cover based upon the main drivers record - but by getting cheaper cover, you are earning the main driver the bonus & only postponing the inevitable.

Kind regards

Tony
